Zev Robinson's 2020 documentary Real Bread Bakers looks at how baking bread, community, nutrition, and agriculture are closely intertwined.

In order to raise funds for #bakersforUkraine, on March 29, 12:00 noon Eastern time, there will be a panel discussion about the documentary and issues it raises, as well as how the war in Ukraine, the breadbasket of Europe, will have numerous knock-on effects beyond the senseless loss of life and beyond the region itself.

Panelists include Andrew Whitley of Scotland the Bread https://scotlandthebread.org/, Dr. Nadezhda Savova-Grigorova of Bread House Networks https://www.breadhousesnetwork.org, Dr. Larysa Stepanova, Language Program director, Dept. of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, OSU, speaks fluent Russian and Ukranian, and very knowledge about Ukranian food culture, Philip Kopatz of the Ohio State Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies and editor of "Ukraine Unlocked", a weekly newsletter about Ukraine, and a former Fulbright English teaching assistant in the Kharkiv region with knowledge of agriculture, and filmmaker Zev Robinson http://theartandpoliticsofeating.com/

For a $3.00+ donation, the film can be seen beforehand here https://zevrobinson.gumroad.com/l/RealBreadBakersUkraine, proceeds going to the #BakersforUkraine fundraising efforts, and donors will be sent a link to the panel discussion before the event.
